1. Who we are
MBA Car Specialist is a trading name of MBA Car Services Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 14681913, at 172 Bristol Road, Frampton Cotterell, Bristol BS36 2AX. Where these terms say "we" or "us", that is the company.
2. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of this website. Using the site means you accept them. The work we do on your vehicle is governed by the terms we give you with your quote and invoice, and section 6 below sets out the principles those follow.
3. Using this site
You are welcome to read the site, print pages and share links. Please do not copy the content for your own commercial use, try to break into any part of it, or use it in a way that stops other people using it properly.
4. The information on this site
We describe what we do as accurately as we can, and we correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, what you read here is general information about our services rather than advice about your particular vehicle, and it is not an offer to do work at a stated price.
Vehicle systems, software coverage and manufacturer procedures change. If something on this page matters to your decision, ring us and ask, and we will tell you where your car stands.
5. Getting in touch and booking
Calling, messaging or emailing us starts a conversation. A booking exists once we have confirmed a date with you and you have confirmed it back. Until then we have not reserved workshop time.
6. Work on your vehicle
The detailed terms come with your quote. These are the principles behind them, and they will not change without us telling you.
- We only do work you have authorised. If we find something else while the vehicle is with us, we ring you and ask before touching it.
- An estimate is an estimate. It is our honest view of the cost from what we know at the time. If the job is going to run past it, we stop, contact you and get your agreement before carrying on.
- Diagnosis takes time, and time is the thing you are paying for. On a difficult intermittent fault we tell you what we have ruled out as well as what we have found.
- We work with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will put it right.
- We can hold the vehicle until the bill is paid. This is a repairer's lien, a right the law already gives any garage that has done work on a vehicle. We would always rather sort out a payment problem by talking to you.
Nothing here takes away your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Our work, and what sits outside it
We work on Mercedes, BMW and Audi group vehicles. We do not do bodywork or paint, and we do not repair high-voltage hybrid or electric components. Where a job falls outside what we take on, we say so and point you somewhere sensible, often our sister workshop Van & Car Repair.
8. Intellectual property
The words, images, logo and design on this site belong to us or to whoever licensed them to us. The manufacturer names we mention identify the vehicles we work on and the software we use. We are an independent garage, and we are not a franchised dealer for, or endorsed by, any manufacturer.
9. Links to other sites
Where we link somewhere else, it is because we think it helps. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they say or do.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the site up and working, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.
11. Our liability
We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. We are also not trying to limit your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Beyond that, this section is about the website rather than the workshop. We are not liable for loss you suffer from relying on general information published here, where you could have rung and asked us about your own vehicle.
12. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal data sits in our privacy policy, and what the site stores on your device sits in our cookie policy.
13. If something goes wrong
Ring us or email us and tell us what happened. We will look into it and come back to you. Most complaints about a garage come down to a misunderstanding about what was agreed, and those get sorted fastest by talking.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own country.
